Known for his vibrant depictions of cows, this is the nicest we've seen in quite some time.
Born in Michigan, Newell studied at the National Academy and with William S. Robinson. He eventually settled in Dover Plains and then in Sharon, Connecticut. A member of many pretigious art clubs including the National Academy, the Salmagundi Club, the Lotos Club, he also exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy, the Boston Art Club, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran, and many more, winning numerous awards.
