Frances Adams Kent (1899 - 1975)

Known for her sculpture, Frances Adams Kent was born in Lawrence Park (Bronxville), New York. She studied at Bennett School and with sculptors Mahonri Young, Boardman Robinson, and Anna Hyatt Huntington. She was a member of the National Sculpture Society and exhibited widely including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy and the Ogunquit Museum. War Memorials by Lamont are in New Canaan, Connecticut; New Rochelle, New York; and the Mellon Gardens.
