Robert Henry Logan (1874 - 1942)

Robert Henry Logan was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. He studied at the Boston MFA School with Frank Benson and Edmund Tarbell, and then in Paris at the Academie Julien and with Robert Henri. Logan exhibited at the Paris Salon, winning the Prix de Rome in 1905, He then painted throughout Europe, traveling to Brittany, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Morocco. He returned to the United States in 1912 and established a studio in Rockport.
