William Henry Howe, N.A. (1846 - 1929)
Little Calf
oil on board, 6" x 8", signed lower left

A little charmer by an artist known for his cow paintings. William Henry Howe was born in Ohio, studied in France and Germany, and was a frequent exhibitor at the Pennsylvania Academy, the National Academy, the Boston Art Club, and many more. His works are in the collections of the Florence Griswold Museum, the National Gallery, and the Peabody-Essex Museum.
We believe this little rooster was also painted by Howe.
